Delete your account
You can delete your Fanfare account, and everything in it, from inside the app. It takes a minute and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open Fanfare and go to the Wallet screen.
- Scroll to Legal & support and tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted and tap Continue.
- Confirm with Yes, delete my account.
The app deletes your data on our servers first, then wipes everything Fanfare stored on your phone, signs you out and returns to the welcome screen.
What is deleted
- Your card history on our servers (message text and card settings — card images are never stored on our servers).
- Your wallet balance and any free cards you had left.
- Any reports you submitted.
- Your account and sign-in, including your email if you added one.
- On the phone: the people you saved, their notes, your cards, your preferences, your AI-consent choice, and all scheduled birthday reminders.
What is not deleted
- Cards you already saved to Photos or shared with someone stay where they are.
- Records of payments are kept for accounting and dispute handling, with your account identifier removed so they are no longer linked to you. Stripe and Google keep their own payment records under their policies.
Your remaining balance is forfeited. Any money left in your wallet, and any free cards, are lost when you delete your account. Unused balance can't be refunded or withdrawn (except where the law requires it), so use it on cards before you delete.
If you can't use the app
Email support@myfanfare.app with the subject "Delete my account".
- If you signed in with an email, write from that address; we'll confirm and delete the account.
- If you used Fanfare without signing in, your account is anonymous: it isn't linked to an email or to anything that identifies you, so we can't find it from a message. Please delete it from inside the app before uninstalling; reinstalling creates a new, empty anonymous account. If the app is already gone, tell us and we'll help as far as we can.
We act on email requests within 30 days and confirm by reply.
